"Let the Games Begin"

The next focus in planning my sister's baby shower was games to keep the guests entertained and give our friends and family a chance to win some fun goodies.  I didn't want to overwhelm the event with too many games, the main focus was for everyone to socialize and enjoy themselves.  We decided on 4 games:

Family Tree Game - Essentially I took baby pictures from both sides of the family, labeled them with letters  and hung them on a tree using clothes pins. On another frame I had pictures of those same people when they were older, labeled them with numbers and provided ballots.  The person who matched up the pictures correctly would win a prize.

Candy In a Jar Game - This one is self explanatory I filled a jar with a bunch of M&M peanut candies whoever guessed the correct number of candies would win the yummy jar. I went to the thrift store and found a bunch of stone eggs, figured they would be perfect to display beside the candy jar in one of my recycled egg cartons.  Beside it is the basket of eggs that were being handed out to people as they entered.

Deco-onsie Game - Each table was given a plain white onesie, along with appliques, fabric markers, rhinestones and glue.  The team based game had each table decorate a onsie and present them to the mommy-to-be, she would designate the winner and each person at that table won a prize.

I created these appliques as an additional embelishment if our guests needed any ideas.

Apparently there was no worries we had a very creative group of family and friends:)

Someone was crafty enough to think of using the eggs from the Crack an Egg game. Everyone had alot of fun, and my sister ended up with some wonderful onesies.

Crack an Egg  - Keeping with the theme of the shower I managed to purchase some plastic easter eggs, these eggs were in a basket and handed to a guest as they entered.  The guest would open the egg, whoever uncovered a baby chick in their egg won a prize.

Draw - Each guest that entered was also given a raffle ticket where we had some draws throughout the shower for prizes.
